About The Position

As a Project Manager at Siemens, you will coordinate and deliver multiple fire/life safety and security projects, ensuring client satisfaction and effective resource allocation. Your role is crucial in creating safer environments in critical institutions such as hospitals and universities. You will oversee project specifications, manage procurement, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • 3+ years of experience in the commercial fire and life safety or commercial security access/CCTV industry
  • Knowledge of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations
  • Ability to obtain NICET level II certification within 1 year of employment
  • Knowledge of construction management processes
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry or commercial security access/CCTV industry
  • SIA CSPM certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions and establish comprehensive project schedules.
  • Oversee the procurement of supplies and materials required for project completion and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in contracting subcontractors and coordinating their activities to align with project scope and schedules.
  • Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing necessary project documentation such as scope of work and technical drawings.
  • Track project resources and progress, documenting any events impacting the schedule and identifying opportunities for change orders.
  • Manage project-specific billing coordination with the accounting team and ensure timely completion of project-specific close-out documentation.
