Performs advanced fire, arson, and explosion investigation work. Responsible for conducting complex origin and cause investigations related to fire and explosion incidents as well as criminal investigations of fires and explosions. This position is required to be deputized by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) in order to: investigate, pursue, apprehend, arrest, and maintain custody of persons who are charged with, suspected of committing, or convicted of a crime. Work is reviewed by an administrative superior for completeness and accuracy through reports, conferences, and results obtained.
