What you’ll do As a Fire Extinguisher & Kitchen Suppression Technician, you will have a unique opportunity to make a significant and meaningful contribution to the success of George A. Kint, Inc. dba General Fire Equipment Co. and its customers through the following core job responsibilities:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or training in fire protection, kitchen suppression systems, or maintenance work is a bonus — but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, service, and recharge portable fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist with inspection and maintenance of commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and document findings accurately after every service visit.
  • Help troubleshoot kitchen suppression systems and support basic repairs under supervision.
  • Travel to customer sites, delivering professional, customer-focused service.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain service records for internal and regulatory purposes.
