About The Position

In this Remote Area Sales Role, you will represent one of the top tier brands in the Fire Detection distribution channel for Johnson Controls in the Florida market. You will be part of a highly motivated team fostering an inclusive and positive environment. Your primary responsibility will be to develop partnerships with existing Autocall certified partners to increase sales while also recruiting new partners into the Autocall family to boost market share. You will ensure that partners are provided with the vital tools, equipment, and training necessary to successfully estimate, install, program, and commission their projects, while also achieving positive year-over-year growth within your territory. Leadership coaching will be a constant throughout your career, as investing in our people is a high priority at Johnson Controls. Our sales leaders will onboard you with all the programs, product, and company information you need to succeed, and they will always be available to help answer questions and mentor you where improvements can be made. This role is designed to make you the best sales manager professional in the industry so you can achieve all of your personal and professional goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Marketing or equivalent Sales/PM experience.
  • Three to five years of successful outside sales and presentation experience.
  • Experience working with consulting engineers within the Fire Detection Industry.
  • Reside within the territory.
  • Travel 30% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Johnson Controls fire detection products.
  • Channel Sales Experience.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience with Microsoft Office and sales tracking software (Salesforce).

Responsibilities

  • Expand and refine the partner network to drive revenue for Autocall Fire Detection within the Florida markets.
  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan to meet company growth strategy.
  • Provide sales expertise and appropriate resources to support Channel Partners in exceeding target sales volume goals.
  • Provide resources and tools for Channel Partners to efficiently execute plans.
  • Develop and promote product knowledge to the Channel Partners, MEP Firms, and End User customers.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales Engineers and Business Development managers in assigned territory.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the marketplace, competitor offerings, and stay current on fire and life safety codes and product trends.
  • Attend industry-specific networking events and actively participate in professional organizations such as NFPA, ASHE, NBFAA, AFAA, AGC, ABC, NEMA, NECA.
