About The Position
The Fire Captain is responsible for the administration, supervision, and management of the Fire Department. This role involves overseeing fire suppression, hazardous material response, rescue operations, and emergency medical services while ensuring the health and safety of all on-duty staff. The captain works on a 48-hour shift and serves as a confidential advisor to the battalion chief/fire chief, implementing department goals and coordinating operations.
