Requirements

• High school diploma
• FAL
• Experience installing and/or servicing burglar alarms, CCTV, access control systems, electronic security systems
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

• NICET Certification: Holding a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification demonstrates a higher level of expertise and professionalism in fire protection engineering technology
• EST installation and programming experience

Responsibilities

• Install, service, program, test and inspect fire alarm systems
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
• Interact professionally with customers
• Coordinate with manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
• Inform dispatcher and/or manager the status of service in order to take appropriate action
