About The Position

The function of this position is to provide reliable, high quality customer support through on-site inspecting, installing, repairing, and/or replacing fire alarm equipment as well as conducting preventative maintenance services pertaining to many different manufacturers’ equipment.

Requirements

  • It is preferable to have a Journeyman’s License but not necessary with a minimum 2 years of related experience preferably within the life safety industry, apprenticeship is the exception – will train
  • High School degree or the equivalent
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Technical aptitude
  • Service experience
  • Customer-focused and customer-driven mindset
  • Thrive in the face of uncertainty
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must obtain and retain any licenses that are required by state and/or local codes.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background, and reference check.

Nice To Haves

  • Electronic Trade School training is a plus
  • OSHA 10 is nice to have
  • Texas FAL is nice to have

Responsibilities

  • Learn/Assist with the installation of fire protection alarm systems for commercial application (including piping, valves, and accessories).
  • Must prepare accurate and timely documentation for work performed, complete monthly vehicle reports, and maintain truck inventory to ensure proper response to customers’ needs.
  • Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Must communicate effectively - both verbally and in writing.
  • Must ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be detail oriented.
