MCS is hiring for a Fire Alarm Technician in Orlando, FL . This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Fire Alarm Technician must demonstrate their adaptability by being able to install multiple types of devices, read prints, and follow the directions and assignments given to them by the Site Superintendent/PM. The Fire Alarm Technician will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations. Typical duties include: Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operation manuals. Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to maximize productivity and strengthen customer relationships. Install, pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot cables and vendor products. Configure, program, and commission new life safety systems. Document commissioning details and communicate project progress and deficiencies. Ensure adherence to NFPA, Local AHJ codes, corporate policies, and OSHA safety standards. Perform test and inspections of fire alarm and related systems. Set up and manage monitoring accounts for fire and security systems. Respond to service calls, including fire alarm systems, ERCES/BDA, card access, CCTV, intrusion, and nurse call systems. Other duties as assigned.
