We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in our Kalamazoo, Michigan (Paw Paw) office with focus on fire detection & alarm service and inspections. The successful candidate will be dependable and capable of inspecting, servicing, and maintaining various types of fire detection, fire alarm, and other similar low voltage systems. Related experience is required. Essential Functions include installing commercial/residential security/burglar alarm, fire, CCTV, and Card Access systems. The technician will perform installations, inspections, and service on a variety of fire protection equipment including fire detection, fire alarm, clean agent systems, CO2 suppression systems, etc. Services will cover both commercial and residential needs, including Security Systems, Fire Systems, Sprinkler Supervision, Hi/Low Temperature, Access Control, Video Systems, Hold-Up Alarms, Sump Pump Alarms, and 24-hour Monitoring. The technician will also perform system testing and signal verification, completing and submitting all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner. Experience with clean agent and other suppression systems is preferred, but not required. The technician will seek out additional sales and service opportunities within existing customer locations and advise the customer of compliance needs, developing long-term relationships with customers and maintaining customer retention.
