About The Position
As the Fire Alarm Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the design, pre-planning, programming, commissioning, and training of fire alarm systems. This position is based in our ArchKey/Sachs Electric office in Fenton, MO, but can also be remote with necessary travel. You will provide technical support, engage in research and development, and participate in various activities aimed at problem resolution and enhancing client satisfaction with our systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting the design of fire alarm systems to meet customer needs while adhering to best industry practices and complying with all applicable building codes and legal requirements. In this role, you will assist in determining the material quantities required to complete projects according to bid specifications. You will also aid in the development and creation of systems documentation, which includes pre-sale system drawings, installation drawings, and other necessary documentation. Your responsibilities will extend to planning, coordinating, and performing programming of systems and other integrated components to meet both customer and operational needs. It is essential to ensure that all assigned systems are installed, programmed, tested, and commissioned according to current industry and company standards. You will provide support in creating systems-testing and commissioning reports, thoroughly testing and commissioning system components to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, you will assist with performing change orders and system-related measures in accordance with company standards and industry best practices. Collaboration with other systems specialists during the installation of integrated systems will also be a key part of your role, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed smoothly and efficiently.
