About The Position

The Fire Alarm Supervisor reports to Facility Maintenance Manager. Under limited supervision, the Fire Alarm Supervisor is responsible for directing, managing, and supervising the Fire Alarm Systems and staff Fire Alarm Technicians to assist in the daily operation of the Fire Alarm Shop. This role effectively manages and ensures fire alarm systems are operated and maintained in compliance with Joint Commission and Federal and State agencies. Candidate must possess NICET Level I/II certifications or obtain NICET Level I certification within one year of hire and actively pursue Level II certification thereafter.

  • A high school diploma and four years professional experience directly related to the area of employment.

  • Ability to push/pull equipment carts.
  • Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected.
  • Ability to match or discriminate between colors.
  • Good peripheral vision capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
  • Ability to operate winches, come-alongs, jacks, etc.
  • Possess maintain dexterity in order to use hand tools, both manual and powered.
  • Ability to qualify physically for respirator use.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the orderly management and daily operation of the Fire Alarm Shop.
  • Facilitate and supervise all outages and contract work performed.
  • Ensure staffing for hour Fire Alarm emergencies.
  • Maintain Joint Commission Maintenance Compliance.
  • Identify Short and Long-Term Maintenance Needs
  • Strive for zero workplace injuries by practicing and enforcing safety policies, delivering consistent reinforcement of employee training, availability of PPE, and instituting administrative and engineered controls whenever possible to achieve and maintain the safest environment and conditions possible for our patients, guests, staff, and our team.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise.
