Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking individuals looking to join the fire alarm and special systems controls industry for commercial projects. Scope of Work Fire Alarm/Special Systems Technicians are able to install a fully functioning Fire Alarm and/or HVAC Controls System. Some traveling required to job sites in northeast Kansas. Pay Based on experience. $1500 signing bonus. Hours 40 or more per week Transportation Travel allowance provided, if required Lodging Provided if required

  • Running conduit
  • Wire/cable installation
  • Device installation
  • Troubleshooting
  • System testing
  • Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
  • Ability to effectively Communicate
  • Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • PPE required for all duties.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment, (fit to work physical) and drug testing.
  • OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion)
  • Experience desired but not required
  • Basic electrical knowledge preferred but not required
  • If seeking a foreman position, must have 3+ years of experience, have worked with multiple system brands and have a minimum NICET level 2 certification for fire alarm
