About The Position

Responsible for generating new installation projects for alarm systems through electrical contractors, GCs, and end users, estimating project based on cost of labor, equipment, and materials; Assistance in securing the monitoring/service contract following the installation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and/or 5+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior fire alarm or low voltage sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and maintain quality clients within the Fire Alarm market that align with the growth strategy of the business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain market-specific business plans for growth.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Estimate projects including fixed price service as required for projects ranging from $100k-$1MM+.
  • Ability to build new business associations / relationships, attend industry networking events, and grow market share.
  • Manage projects as needed (ie.change orders, field issues) and attend job walks and construction meetings as needed.
