As the Fire Alarm Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our Fire Alarm Department. This role will need to ensure compliance is maintained with all relevant codes and regulations in the state of Texas. The Fire Alarm Construction manager will lead a team and will be tasked with coordinating and executing various fire alarms, ERRCES, AOR as well as other projects and activities. Daily operations of construction installation projects will need to be managed and monitored. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing Fire Alarm installation projects in a very fast paced environment, know the construction industry, and be someone that places an emphasis on safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Coach and mentor technicians, order materials and equipment for these projects and monitor financials for each project. Training, team building, job management, district administration, and effective interaction with customers. Responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction to the Fire Alarm Installation Department. Set and manage productivity and performance expectations for direct reports. Maintain loading schedules and labor forecasting. Must be able to motivate employees; maintain and enhance a positive work environment utilizing management best practices. Ensure safety and industry training is current and documented for all technicians and that they have all the appropriate information and material prior to arrival at the job site. Maintain schedule of installers and track hours assigned to projects. Work in conjunction with the Operations team to complete work as needed. Provide accurate project status updates during WIP meetings. Conduct regular job site safety walkthroughs and EHS evaluations as well as accident investigations. Proficient in developing business strategies, implementing action plans to meet and/or exceed department goals and objectives. Set goals and objectives for subordinates, communicate expectations to employees and periodically review subordinate's performance. Attend construction meetings and interface with end-users, architects, and general contractors.
