About The Position

Viking Fire Protection Group is searching for a qualified individual to work in our Special Hazard Alarm Detection (SHAD) division in Omaha, NE. The qualified candidate should be able to leverage their industry knowledge to help grow a fire alarm/suppression business. This would include Installations, Inspections, and Service Repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft
  • NICET Certification in Fire Alarm or similar Low Voltage scope a plus
  • Valid State Electrical Apprentice License
  • Valid State License for Low Voltage work a plus
  • Suppression experience / certification a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Business development / marketing skill a plus
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug test and reference / background check

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Certification in Fire Alarm or similar Low Voltage scope
  • Valid State License for Low Voltage work
  • Suppression experience / certification
  • Business development / marketing skill

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing customer relationships while helping to grow a new customer base
  • Proper Communication Skills Dealing with Customers and co-workers
  • Fire Alarm / Security System installation and service
  • Identify and correct deficiencies
  • Perform fire alarm installations, upgrades, and inspections
  • Troubleshoot existing systems without disrupting customer activities
  • Ensure all work complies with codes and standards
  • Recommend improvements on projects or procedures to improve overall company success
  • Serve as trainer and coach for crew members
  • Some travel maybe required
  • Ability to learn inspection requirements of Kitchen Hood Systems and Hand Portable Fire Extinguishers
  • Complete Records for Installations and Work Orders for Service and Inspections
