This position is ideal for an experienced fire alarm installer or lead technician ready to step into a supervisory role.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of fire alarm or low-voltage installation experience; leadership or foreman experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and local code requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, device layouts, and riser diagrams.
  • Strong communication and team-leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Low Voltage License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fire alarm installation crews on commercial job sites throughout Northwest Arkansas.
  • Coordinate daily workflow, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for project managers, inspectors, general contractors, and customers.
  • Ensure all work meets NFPA 72, AHJ requirements, manufacturer specifications, and State Systems quality standards.
  • Install, program, and test fire alarm systems and related low-voltage equipment.
  • Oversee rough-in, device installation, panel terminations, labeling, and system commissioning.
  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective work as needed to resolve installation or programming issues.
  • Verify system functionality and proper integration with other building systems.
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure safe work practices for all crew members.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, material usage logs, redlines, and close-out documentation.
  • Communicate installation progress, delays, and needs to project managers and office staff.
  • Ensure equipment, tools, and company vehicle (if assigned) are properly used and maintained.
