About The Position

We are seeking skilled Fire Alarm Installers, Technicians, and Foreman to join our team. This role requires familiarity with the equipment, installation, and commissioning of low voltage systems, along with at least journeyman level installation and troubleshooting experience.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the equipment, installation, and commissioning of low voltage systems.
  • At least journeyman level installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
  • Proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
  • Excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs.

  • NICET and/or State Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings.
  • Layout and provide direction to CSI installers on site as well as coordinate and communicate with the Project Manager to efficiently complete the project on time and on budget (Foreman specific).
  • Ability to program or experience with programming low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV (Technician specific).
  • Execution of the installation project plan provided including equipment delivery, trouble shooting, commissioning as well as interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer's expectations.
  • Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
  • Meet with code officials to arrange for building permits, code issues and to discuss the intended wiring and installation methods being used (Foreman and Technicians specific).
  • Coordinate the project activities with other trades at the work locations to optimize installation time (Foreman and Technicians specific).
  • Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Identify out of scope requests by the contractor or customer and notify management of pending changes.
  • Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient installation to complete scope.
  • Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner (Foreman and Technicians specific).
  • Effectively communicate project status to management.
  • Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
