Requirements

  • Some formal sales experience is required—experience selling a service (vs. a product) is a plus.
  • You must be eager to learn Fire Protection Systems—we’ll train you, but you need to be committed to the learning curve.
  • Strong computer skills are a must—proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
  • Familiarity with Hubspot, and/or ServiceTrade is a plus (but not required).
  • You must be a people person—building strong customer relationships is at the core of this role.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Ability to obtain NICET Level I certification in Fire Alarm.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in sales support, customer service, or administration.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities and close hardware sales.
  • Liaison between customer and project manager.
  • Create Kistler O’Brien approved proposals and deliver or present to customers.
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing efforts in territory that include, but are not limited to, seminars, local organizations and networking events.
  • Reach annual quotas assigned to sales representative.
  • Develop and maintain technical competency of the department products and services.
