What you will do: Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on Life Safety systems (Electrical, Sprinkler, Suppression) across multiple manufacturers. Work with low‑voltage wiring and related devices. Follow a structured inspection schedule and complete all assigned work on time. Document inspection results using a laptop or mobile device; input, retrieve, and archive inspection records. Make minor system repairs and programming adjustments as needed. Provide technical guidance and training for junior inspectors or trainees. Perform additional duties as assigned. How you will do it: Use low‑voltage wiring techniques and associated equipment. Accurately complete Service Acknowledgements and related documentation. Always maintain compliance with safety procedures and quality standards. Work in a variety of environments, including heights, confined spaces, and above-ceiling areas. Support customers with professionalism and strong communication.

Requirements

Required 5+ years of experience working with low‑voltage electrical systems and Fire/Life Safety systems.
Strong troubleshooting ability and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Capable of lifting 50–70 lbs. and working on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to 40 ft.
Flexibility to work weekends and travel overnight when required.
Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with others.
Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and quick learner.
Valid driver’s license meeting company standards.
Ability to obtain/maintain required national, state, and local licenses.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of the Inspector Entrée Course (Electrical or Sprinkler).
NICET certification
State of MI - Fire Alarm License

Nice To Haves

Experience using hand tools and multi-meters.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and technical manuals.
