About The Position

This entry-level role is responsible for assisting fire alarm technicians with the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems. It provides hands-on training and exposure to fire alarm systems while supporting safe, efficient, and code-compliant work in the field. Century Fire Protection is a large and successful full-service fire protection company based in the Southeast, specializing in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of all types of fire protection systems in commercial markets. Headquartered in Duluth, GA, Century Fire has over 20 offices across seven states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications (as applicable)
• Microsoft, word and basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior construction or electrical experience a plus
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with installation of fire alarm devices, wiring, conduit, and equipment.
• Support testing and inspection of fire alarm systems under supervision.
• Help identify and document deficiencies or issues discovered during service or inspections.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
• Follow project instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
• Assist with system troubleshooting as skills develop.
• Participate in required safety meetings and training.
