About The Position

Responsible for the preparation of detailed designs and drawings ensuring that efficient and compliant requirements of the life safety codes and standards are met.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or CADD technical school with 2 years’ work related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with IBC, IC, IMC, NEC and NFPA code standards.
• Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• NICET Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project drawings, specifications and schematics required to support the installation of electronic special systems (fire alarm, security, access control, and other low voltage specialist systems).
• Service customer project needs to specifications.
• Review CADD technician drawings for quality, specifications and code compliancy, technical oversight review and approval.
• Assist with maintaining established customers and developing new business.
• Maintain project drawing files, and associate records, and documentation tracking & maintaining as-built drawings.
• Perform occasional job site surveys in the field.
• Coordinate project needs with sales and other project managers overseeing code compliance and design.
