About The Position

This is a short-term temporary assignment for a Fire Alarm Assistant Inspector in the Delmarva area, expected to last for more than 3 months. The role involves assisting the Lead Inspector in testing various electronic alarm systems, including fire, security, access, and sprinkler systems. The position requires strong communication skills, knowledge of NFPA alarm system requirements, and proficiency in using a laptop with system application software. The candidate must also demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of NFPA alarm system requirements and ability to interpret code books.
• Proficiency in utilizing a laptop with system application software.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with others.
• Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
• High school diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Inspector while testing electronic alarm systems including fire, security, access, and sprinkler systems.
• Generate electronic and written documentation for system certification in a timely manner.
• Communicate with ARK team members to pursue company goals of certifying alarm systems according to standards.
• Present oneself in a positive, professional manner as per company policy.
• Refer customer concerns to the Lead Tester and/or Contracts Manager.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as required.
