About The Position

The Performance Testing Engineer at Fiserv plays a crucial role in the Development team, focusing on testing and optimizing key components of the Finxact platform. This position involves coordinating with team members to ensure the scalability and maintainability of the application framework, while also maintaining internal tools for performance analysis and automation.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in Java or JavaScript software development
• 2+ years of experience testing Go or Java applications backed by a relational database: Postgres or MySQL
• 1-2 years of experience with Bash scripting and SQL
• 1-2 years of experience with Jmeter, other performance tools and reporting software
• 1 year of experience creating with KPI monitoring with Datadog and other observability tools
• 1 year of experience with various cloud providers, and CPU and memory profiling tools
• 1 year of experience with software version control, Git and continuous integration tools
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Event Driven Architectures & Messaging brokers: RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Mindset for continuous learning

Responsibilities

• Test Go application framework components that are scalable and maintainable across our enterprise
• Maintain internal tools for performance analysis of workloads, workload automation, data visualization and automated analysis
• Test services that interact with RDBMS and Messaging systems
• Define and maintain test system configurations, and test data
• Perform test executions and write test scripts for complex integrated systems
• Define and maintain test standards and quality assurance tasks
• Implement test processes on projects, write test plans, procedures, scripts, and analyze test results
• Produce reports and documentation for all automated testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging and tracking
