About The Position

Temp To Full-Time Job Responsibilities: Finishes parts by observing if the part meets cosmetic standards (surface appearance or determining any defects), removing remaining 'risers', grinding down 'gate' surfaces, and comparing to visual criteria sheet image and according to work instructions. Job Duties: Visually inspects castings/parts -- looking for defects such as: blow holes, sand holes, shrink, imperfect gates, crush, etc. -- noting variances in part from visual criteria sheet/customer specifications. Operates various grinders to remove excess metal from parts. Operates various automated cells to process castings. Performs minor maintenance on the grinders (replacing wheels & bits) Keeps work area clean by performing general housekeeping duties.

Requirements

• Ability to stand 8+ hours for their shift
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
• All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit to a national background check.

Nice To Haves

• Casting and Foundry experience a plus, but not required.
