About The Position

Lead the Flow of Finishing — A Day in the Life As the Finishing Value Stream Supervisor, you’ll be the first-line leader guiding a high-performing crew through a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing shift. Your north star: safety first, continuous improvement always, and servant leadership that builds an engaged, motivated team. Location & Schedule Based in Ripon, WI Second shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am Occasional overtime on Fridays from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Your Day You arrive ready to set the tone: a safe, efficient, and respectful environment. You huddle with team leaders, confirm production priorities, and walk the floor to reinforce safe practices and verify PPE use. You remove barriers for your team, connect with technical staff for support, and keep operations aligned to schedule while cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven servant leadership mindset with the ability to lead by example.
  • One to three years of experience in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing preferred.
  • Safety champion: model safety-first behavior, encourage reporting without fear of retaliation, and hold the team accountable.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and quickly correct unsafe practices or non-compliance.
  • Self-driven, ambitious leader skilled in coaching, mentoring, and supervising teams.
  • Strong problem solver who inspires proactive thinking and solution creation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Stooping, bending, standing for long periods, manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing supervision experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations preferred.
  • Professional, internship, or co-op experience will be considered as relevant experience.
  • Preferred exposure to process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Stay current on evolving safety standards and implement updates promptly.
  • Enforce company safety procedures and verify proper PPE usage (e.g., bump caps, gloves, eye protection).
  • Promote ergonomic best practices: adjustable workstations, proper seating, and regular breaks.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking; empower every team member to contribute ideas.
  • Ensure employees are effectively trained by Team Leaders or designated trainers in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 6S.
  • Interface with technical staff to secure timely support for your area.
  • Set annual goals and objectives that align with operating metrics.
  • Continuously improve processes and work to reduce inventories and work-in-progress.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and partner with Union Stewards on contract and discipline issues.
