About The Position

Join our team as a Finishing Utility! This position provides rotating support to injection molding presses by collecting finished product, verifying final counts, completing data entry related to final processing, and transferring to the appropriate shipping location. Also, this position will rotate each shift for 6 hours as a Finishing Operator. Shift: Mon - Wed: 6am-6pm; Thurs: 6am-12pm.

Requirements

• Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as hobby knives, utility knives, diagonal-cutting pliers
• Able to use a computer and calculator
• Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
• Must be punctual and have good attendance
• Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail is required

Responsibilities

• Collect boxed product from presses
• Count/weigh parts according to order requirements
• Add final packaging needs (filler, bubble wrap, etc) as necessary and according to requirements
• Complete order transaction information to queue for shipping
• Transfer completed boxes to final shipping location
• Support presses in finishing department - operate molding cycle, inspect parts, trim parts according to specified cosmetic grade using tools such as hobby knives, utility knives, diagonal-cutting pliers, band saws, grinders, belt sanders
• Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department
• Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization
• Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance
• Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
