About The Position

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB Work on the tile press. Inspect tile, catch, and stack tile. Lift boxes with tile—stack tile boxes. Work on the Inspection table—wrap rolls of carpet. Inspect carpet.

Requirements

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other company associates.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
• Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Basic personal computer skills.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach /handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive objects and materials' attributes.
• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
• Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)

Responsibilities

• Inspect & box 1st quality tile.
• Move and stack tile boxes weighing 45 lbs.
• Label boxes.
• Inspect and wrap roll goods.
• Housekeeping
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
