About The Position

The Finishing Planner role drives operational excellence within a high-precision manufacturing environment by aligning production schedules with strategic business objectives and customer delivery commitments. This role ensures efficient and scalable resource utilization, seamless cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven performance analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering OR 2+ years of experience in Production Scheduling, Supply Chain, or production scheduling
  • Solid understanding of Production Planning and its related processes and systems
  • Working knowledge of SAP & MES systems
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and displays a high degree of professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in material flow planning, including the ability to plan, lead, and control material flow throughout the internal supply chain within stipulated timeframes preferred.
  • Experience with databases and data mining tools such as BOBJ, Power BI, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage forward-looking, data-informed production plans that support KPIs, optimize material flow, and meet delivery targets. This includes providing daily coil sequence schedules to SLH, CPL, PLTCM, HDGL1, HDGL2, HDLG3, and HDGL4.
  • Provide 24/7 year-round support to production units.
  • Balance inventory turnover with order fulfillment; identify and resolve operational bottlenecks affecting production. Coordinate material flow between production units to minimize inventory dwell time and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a Central Stakeholder alignment link between Production, Commercial, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure agile execution.
  • Apply analytical and data-driven methods to resolve scheduling conflicts and lead systemic improvements.
  • Monitor operational metrics, such as ensuring MRF ton goals are met for each production unit, inventory levels are within target ranges, schedules align with all IPS guidelines, and on-time delivery requirements are met.
  • Analyze warmer usage trends and proactively mitigate inefficiencies and enhance scalability.
  • Ensure planning aligns with safety, environmental, and quality standards including ISO and IATF requirements.
