The position involves ensuring that couplings are properly doped, thread caps are placed and tightened on the ends, and starting the couplings by hand for specified threaded ends. The working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment, which can be hot or cold depending on the weather, and the environment is greasy, dirty, and noisy. The work involves lifting, pulling, and/or pushing materials and products weighing up to 65 pounds, as well as standing and walking considerable distances. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
