Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree required
- 1 or more years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude
- Willingness to utilize and learn new technology
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret job tickets to determine product specifications, then set up, operate, and maintain slitter/rewinder converting equipment (including rolls, guiding systems, blades, and cores) to slit materials to final size.
- Bring machines up to optimal speeds and continuously monitor performance, adjusting speed, tension, and pressure settings as needed to ensure efficient operation and proper web tension.
- Package finished rolls and print/apply customer identification tags according to specifications.
- Cross-training in other roles across the production environment
- Problem solving issues that arise
- Effectively working as a team member to meet production and company goals
