About The Position

This role will be 3rd Shift, 10:00pm - 6:00am. Starting hiring rate: $21.58/hr plus $2/hr shift differential. Responsibilities include sorting, labeling, and packaging finished goods for shipment per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices. The role also involves inspecting the general appearance of finished products, keeping the area supplied with necessary packaging materials, preparing cores for machine operators, and communicating necessary information to appropriate shift/department personnel to ensure effective operations. Additional duties include tracking multiple orders being packed at one time, performing duties to continuously improve quality and productivity, maintaining a clean, safe work area, performing 5S duties and audits, assisting in equipment maintenance activities as directed, participating in group problem-solving teams and continuous improvement activities, and performing all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
  • Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.
  • Must have strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand root cause, then communicate/educate team in a timely manner.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, especially strong MFG Pro transactional skills.
  • Must be able to obtain Lift Truck Operator's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5+ year's previous experience.
  • Solid interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical aptitude and logical problem solving skills.

  • Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and knowledge about ELS Operating Principles preferred.
