About The Position

Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Finishing/Fab Associate - 2nd shift. The hours for this role are 3pm - 12:30am The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: Summary: To communicate and coordinate with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. Perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Requirements

  • Completed High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience OR 2 year of military experience
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology
  • Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe's, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
  • Training and special process certification maintenance.
  • Participate in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with work policies.
  • Identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to lift up to and including 50 pounds.
  • Utilization of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job.
  • Ability to work safe and report all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
  • Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status to meet the required level of certified elements - 8.
  • Detailed knowledge of test requirements and equipment to evaluate conformity of WIP.
  • Properly manage the traceability of components to ensure accuracy.
