Night shift: 6 pm to 6 am / 4 days on, 4 days off. 12-hour shifts - Steady days/nights Lathe or CNC experience a plus! Prior steel mill or industrial furnace experience Tow motor and crane experience Must have reliable transportation Must be able to read tape measurer
Requirements

- Tow motor and crane experience
- Remote Crane: 1 year (Preferred)
- Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Correctly sets up machine for grade/diameter of material to be peeled, including selection of head, cutting inserts and speed, feed and dimensional input
- Makes test cut. Properly assesses resulting diameter and finish. Accurately determines any corrections to be made to the settings
- Properly peels entire bar with smooth, continuous finish and acceptable RMS per order specification
- Monitors wear of tooling and its effect on surface finish. Replaces worn tooling to maintain acceptable product quality
- Complete operator maintenance tasks and report any equipment issues
- Complete all necessary tasks and/or change overs to efficiently operate equipment
- Ensure the next shift is set up to run efficiently
