Available Shifts 1st- 6:00am-2:00pm 2nd- 2:00pm-10:00pm The Hand Finishing Cell Captain performs all tasks required by Hand Finishing Assembler, as well as supervises the activities and training needed within a cell. Works as part of a team to provide customers with a quality, packaged product in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 25 pounds of force constantly.
  • Must be able to move easily throughout the plant on foot, stand for the majority of the work shift and perform pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting functions.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Able to read, write legibly, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic mathematical calculations dealing with weights and dimensions and quantity.

Responsibilities

  • Directs cell personnel in training and performing their assigned tasks.
  • Instructs, demonstrates, and assesses the accuracy of tasks assigned to all cell workers.
  • Sets up cell workflow to allow for maximum efficiency.
  • Formats and prints any required carton labels.
  • Performs all necessary written internal and external documentation with complete and accurate information as required by internal procedures (load tags, etc.) and/or customer specifications.
  • Reads, reviews and understands the assigned jobs according to specifications.
  • Performs manual tasks such as assembly kitting, inserting, hand folding, hand collating, taping, etc. efficiently and accurately according to job ticket and job specifications.
  • Sets up and operates equipment such as conveyors, tape machines, strapping machines, shrink wrappers, etc. in the correct manner.
