Finishing Associate (Cell Optimizee - Finishing)
About The Position
Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading global manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday HOURS: 7:00am - 3:30pm LOCATION: 485 W. 3rd St. Dover, OH 44622 ROLE: To be trained and effectively perform all operations that enable finished products to be Black Oxided Coated, Laser Mark and package product. Quality product of correct quantity will be delivered to inventory for compliance for check in.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift 32 lbs.
- Able to push loads of 100lbs
- Ability to use calipers
- Follow schedules
- Computer use, knowledge of windows based operating systems.
- Detail oriented
- Communication and organization
- Accurate math and counting skills
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of AMEC product, preferred.
- Previous experience using a caliper and reading blueprints, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Black Oxide coat product & tooling
- Laser mark all product
- Prepare packaging for product going into inventory
- Handle product in a manner to prevent damage and maintain segregation
- Unpack and inspect product and match up to correct shop order/ item number routings
- Visually inspect for defects using calipers, and/ or magnifying glass
- Process and organize all paperwork and stage tools in proper location
- Add necessary components listed on the Bill of Materials when packaging
- Inspect according to the inspection plan per work area
- Verify correct counts and corresponding labels
- Replenish packing materials
- Observe and report on any area that needs addressed
- Process orders according to the appropriate schedule and/ or supervisor’s direction, and properly stage product for the next operation
