Buck Company LLC is looking for a Finishing Associate to join our team on 2nd shift. This role is absolutely essential to our quality assurance process-you will be the final step in preparing our high-quality metal castings for our customers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled, industrial environment.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance-reliability is key for our 2nd Shift operations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team-based production environment.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to comprehend instructions and accept coaching and mentoring.
  • Safety Focus: Proven ability to adhere to and successfully perform job functions consistent with Buck Company's strict safety policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or knowledge related to metal casting defects or industrial finishing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Precision Finishing: Expertly operate various industrial grinding devices to remove excess metal (such as parting lines and rough edges) from metal castings, achieving a flawless final product.
  • Initial Processing: Utilize specialized equipment, including gate-breakers and hammers, for initial casting preparation and separation.
  • Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough quality checks on finished parts, identifying and sorting castings based on type and quality standards. (Knowledge of casting defects is a plus, but we provide comprehensive training!)
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and quality protocols.
  • Team & Growth Focus: Actively participate in essential cross-training opportunities to broaden your skill set and contribute flexibly across the production floor.
