The finisher position is responsible for meticulously preparing and enhancing trailers by addressing surface cleanliness, electrical functionality, ventilation, and aesthetic details, ensuring a polished and fully functional final product ready for transport.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred or other equivalent and relevant demonstrated skills and experience.
  • Ability to be energetic and focused while working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to read and interpret work orders.
  • Must be able to maintain safety while working effectively and efficiently.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE for the position, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, face shield, steel toe footwear, knee pads, gloves.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 80 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Responsibilities

  • Wipe down trailers to remove any dirt or debris.
  • Sand wood and blow out the trailer to ensure a clean smooth surface.
  • Install air flow vents to promote proper ventilation.
  • Connect lights and test electrical components to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Install interior trim and door seals to create a finished look.
  • Apply silicone to seal any gaps or joints.
  • Place stickers and decals on the trailer as needed.
  • Mount tires to prepare the trailer for transport.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed.
