JOB OVERVIEW: As a Finisher, your primary responsibility is to support the mission and Core Values of HGC. This involves a continuous learning process, meeting the needs of our customers as per HGC guidelines, and ensuring the production of parts with 100% quality and timely delivery to all customers.

  • Standing for extended periods 5-10 hours per day

  • Twisting, bending, reaching, and engaging in rapid reflex movements for up to 10 hours a day
  • Circumduction, pushing, pulling, reaching, and engaging in rapid flex movements with both arms up to 10 hours a day
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Occasionally lift and carry objects (30 lbs. maximum)
  • Occasionally climb/use a ladder

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Follow directions written and verbal.
  • Record keeping on the factory order.
  • Removal of waste material from cut parts (collect cut parts out of material trim, remove internal scrap from parts manually, removal of “flash”, proper placement of cartons used to house parts, and stack and identify generated material).
  • Consistently meet efficiency goals per factory order.
  • Constantly monitor for quality results, paying attention to detail and reporting any defects.
  • Processes ink stamp part identification when designated.
  • Completes customer packaging and assists with packaging of parts for shipping according to customer and HGC guidelines.
  • Designated to apply coatings or adhesives.
  • Completes lamination of die-cut parts.
  • Completes application of various inserts.
  • Verify part counts on all factory orders including orders from other departments.
  • Ensure work area is clean and tidy.
  • Follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Regular reliable attendance.
  • Interacting and working well with co-workers and management.
  • Perform other work as assigned.
  • Assist operators with orders by catching and/or moving gaskets.
  • Help mentor new employees as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and performing other duties as needed and/or assigned.
