Scope of Position This detail-oriented and safety-conscious individual, as part of the Solid Surface team, will be responsible for executing a variety of finishing techniques to ensure product quality and support production goals. The Finisher plays a key role in maintaining workflow efficiency, upholding quality standards, and contributing to a collaborative and safe manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
  • Respirators are required; therefore, successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests are required.
  • Proper Respirator fit requires a clean shaven face.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform basic finishing techniques (wet or dry) with guidance from experienced team members.
  • Assist in setting up and operating finishing equipment.
  • Help with patching and repairing products under supervision.
  • Follow instructions from blueprints and production documents.
  • Use computer systems and scanners to track work.
  • Help keep parts organized and stocked.
  • Package and label products following company procedures.
  • Work toward completing lift truck certification if needed.
  • Learn how to apply quality checks for different surface types.
  • Follow procedures for handling scrap materials.
  • Stick to standard operating procedures in your work area.
  • Use measuring tools correctly with training.
  • Learn to identify part numbers accurately.
  • Support team goals for productivity and quality.
  • Participate in training sessions and ask questions to learn.
  • Help with new product setups when needed.
  • Work well with coworkers and ask for help when unsure.
  • Assist other departments when asked.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Report small issues to your supervisor or team lead.
  • Help keep production on schedule by staying organized.
  • Follow all safety rules and wear required protective gear.
