Summary Prepares and finishes completed components and assemblies utilizing various methods such as chemical conversion coat, prime, paint, silk-screen, and part marking operations. Supports Mechanical Assembly team as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Reads manufacturing orders or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Interprets engineering drawings and parts lists to establish finishing, part marking, or other requirements for a components or assemblies. Also works from engineering change notices, engineering logs, CAE workmanship standards and various CAE manufacturing procedures documents. Maintains paint shop equipment and chemicals. Orders paint, chemicals, and other consumable paint shop items. Performs prime and finish painting on components and assemblies. Fabricates labels, banners, and signs using the large format paint shop printer using graphical software. Fills and repairs damaged surfaces prior to final finish. Sands, masks, and prepares components for final finish. Operates bead blaster to prepare certain parts for finish. Disassembles and replaces parts as required. Marks identifying information and reference designators on parts Interfaces with hardware engineering to establish best finish procedures for components. Silkscreens ink line-work and nomenclature onto components as required. Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or general education degree. Able to obtain a security clearance or already possess security clearance. Post high school vocational training/certification desired. Experience in paint/paint prep shop environment preferred. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
