About The Position

The Finisher III position involves performing essential functions related to the painting and finishing of manufactured products. This includes conducting safety checks at the start of each shift, painting products, applying coatings, and ensuring proper usage and maintenance of equipment. The role requires adherence to safety and environmental regulations, as well as documentation of processes and inventory management. Employees must also be medically cleared for respirator use and have knowledge of safety data sheets (SDS). The position is full-time, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, typically consisting of four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations.
  • Some knowledge of painting and shipping of products.
  • Basic understanding of computers.
  • Reading, writing, and simple math skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year of working experience in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all safety checks at the start of the shift, including cranes and tools, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
  • Paint all manufactured products.
  • Apply coatings to assembled products.
  • Use and maintain respiratory equipment properly.
  • Mix and thin coatings per manufacturing recommendations.
  • Seal and store unused coatings safely and properly.
  • Clean painting equipment and dispose of materials used in the cleaning process appropriately.
  • Replenish paint in pressure pots.
  • Verify adequate coverage of coating on finished products.
  • Complete applicable paperwork for painting.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed, completing any required training and safety programs.
  • Complete paint verification forms as necessary.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications.
  • Work with the supervisor/foreman and EHS manager to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Handle or move hazardous waste as required.
