About The Position

We’re looking for a Finisher – Grind/Sand to join our precision metal fabrication team. This position is responsible for grinding, sanding, deburring, and polishing metal parts to meet exact specifications and finish standards. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related trade preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of fabrication processes.
Previous experience in metal finishing, grinding, or sanding preferred (manufacturing or fabrication environment).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding tolerances.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating Amada or similar fabrication machinery a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform grinding, sanding, and finishing operations on sheet metal, welds, and fabricated components.
Use power tools (grinders, sanders, deburring tools, and polishing equipment) safely and effectively.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and aesthetic standards.
Follow blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Communicate with team members and supervisors about part quality, materials, and process improvements.
Perform routine maintenance on finishing tools and report equipment issues promptly.
