About The Position

Perform tasks involving physical labor, including patching and repair of concrete panels produced throughout the plant. Panels are made in a variety of textures and colors. Strong attention to detail and good eye for color and texture variance. Essential Functions Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in the repair and patching of concrete products Perform rubbing motion between shoulder and waist height often, occasionally above shoulder height or below knees Climb and work standing on ladder Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards Place concrete patching material on panel using a hand trowel Work in dusty environment Travel to job site occasionally Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed Work full time, Monday through Friday with frequent Saturday work Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Contribute to company morale and group commitment to goals Other duties as assigned by Supervision

Requirements

  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in concrete patching and repair work
  • Working knowledge of Gage finish marks and standards
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects
  • Ability to bend at waist or work in a kneeling or sitting position
  • Excellent stamina is required
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including heat and cold
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders and work on platform
  • Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
  • Excellent attendance
  • Ability to comply with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
  • Wear respirator when working in acid finishing bay
  • Safety/Steel toe boots, hardhat and safety glasses required
  • Lift 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
