About The Position

This position is responsible for preparing items for finish application.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift and wrap drawers and pull/move large cases into staging area.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Installs decorative hardware on cases as required by the finish procedure and route card
• Matches hardware to case to stored bin number ensuring proper hardware is applied
• Wrap and tape all drawers on cases in preparation for finish application
• Ensures all tape edging is applied correctly
• Uses spray edge fill enamel on all raw edges as required by finish procedure
• Disassembles door from case as required in the finish process
• May perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor such as loading the line by pulling material from storage area to conveyor and loading in assigned order, or occasionally screwing down tall cases or bed frames to pallets
• Observes Plant safety rules and is quality conscious in performing duties
• Keeps work area clean at all times.
