About The Position

Finish Blade Operator- Renewable Energy Project We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Finish Blade Operator to support construction activities on utility-scale solar projects. This role is responsible for operating finish blade equipment to perform fine grading, final surface preparation, and drainage contouring to meet project plans and quality standards. The ideal candidate will maintain safe operating practices, work efficiently in a fast-paced field environment, and contribute to the successful execution of high-quality solar construction projects. Requirements

  • 5 + years of equipment operation experience preferred
  • Degrees or courses from vocational schools in construction equipment operation and maintenance add an extra edge.
  • Hand and foot coordination: You must coordinate movements of your hands and feet in order to guide very large machinery in tight places.
  • Operation Monitoring: You'll have to read gauges, dials, and other indicators, and adjust them as necessary.
  • Interpersonal skills and teamwork: You must be able to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites.
  • Critical thinking: Your job will require that you identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions to problems in order to choose the one that is most likely to be successful and cost-effective.
  • Troubleshooting: Anyone operating equipment should be able to detect and fix operating problems.
  • Experience in general construction and workplace safety practices
  • Insurability must have clean driving record, and valid drivers’ license.
  • Ability to travel to/from job site, reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass background check and pre-employment and random drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to successful completion of construction solar projects.
  • Operate the equipment in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property.
  • Ensure and manage the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way.
  • Perform periodical safety, maintenance, or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.
  • Inform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenance.
  • Operate equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
  • Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
  • Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
  • Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
