About The Position

This is an entry-level production role responsible for operating insertion and printing equipment used to process customer statements and communications for a world-class statement processing operation. The role requires a production- and quality-focused individual who can perform in a high-volume, continuous production environment. Associates will be introduced to 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles and are expected to comply with and demonstrate behaviors aligned with these standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, team-oriented, organized, and results-driven, with the ability to be cross-trained on multiple pieces of equipment. Physical stamina, flexibility, and sound decision-making skills are required. This role operates under the direct supervision of shift leadership and requires full compliance with department policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate insertion and printing equipment at a basic competency level.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow English-language production documents and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to complete basic production forms and logs accurately.
  • Basic numeric keypad and PC skills.
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and continuous improvement mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of production-related experience.
  • Prior experience operating insertion and/or printing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate insertion and printing equipment at a basic proficiency level while meeting production and quality standards under supervision.
  • Assist with machine setup and inspect materials prior to production.
  • Perform routine quality inspections to ensure accuracy and integrity of printed and inserted materials.
  • Accurately complete machine logs, paperwork, and daily production documentation.
  • Load jobs correctly and follow internal workflows and interdepartmental dependencies.
  • Stand for extended periods and push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, vendor representatives, and other departments.
  • Cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment and reconciliation functions as required.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and application of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with customer privacy policies.
  • Model behaviors aligned with the company, supporting operational and service excellence.
  • Demonstrate strong punctuality, attendance, and scheduling flexibility.
