About The Position
As a Fine Jewelry Commission Sales Associate at JCPenney, your primary role is to serve as the expert on Fine Jewelry within the store. You will be responsible for educating customers about the various products and how they can enhance their lives. This position requires a strong focus on customer service and sales, where you will engage with customers in a friendly manner to understand their needs and assist them in making informed decisions about their purchases. You will be expected to meet or exceed sales goals by leveraging your in-depth knowledge of Fine Jewelry and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, you will actively support the company's Instant Credit Application Process (iCAP) to facilitate customer transactions. In terms of general operations, you will participate in various inventory processes, including annual inventory counts, cycle counts, and system uploads. You will also be involved in managing merchandise transfers, returns, and ensuring the sales floor is organized and clean. Your performance will be measured against established standards, including sales performance, customer service metrics, and adherence to company policies regarding shrink and safety initiatives. To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong performance-driven behavior, build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, and adapt quickly to changing situations. You will also be expected to provide feedback and recognition to your team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
