About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a full time FINE HORTICULTURE SUPERVISOR position. Location: TAMU - 600 Agronomy Road, College Station, TX 77843. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs).

Requirements

• Prior fine horticulture knowledge and supervising experience are required.
• A TDA License is required or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
