Fine Arts Teacher
About The Position
Bishop Ireton High School is seeking a fulltime Fine Arts teacher for the 2025-2026 school year beginning immediately at our campus in Alexandria, Virginia. Candidates should be able to teach all levels of Ceramics and 3-D art/Sculpture. Bishop Ireton, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school in historic Alexandria, Virginia, began its proud heritage of academic excellence in 1964. The school offers a challenging environment and outstanding quality of life, both in academics and co-curricular activities, with a three-tiered focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), humanities and fine arts. Requirements
- demonstrate professionalism in a collaborative environment
- have strong communication skills
- have 3-D art teaching experience and 3-D art equipment experience
- possess a bachelor's degree; fine arts degree and master's degree preferred
- possess or be willing to obtain a Virginia teaching license or VCEA license citizenship or residency required
- promote the Catholic mission of the school
- Must speak fluent English
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and take required in-person Virtus training
