About The Position

The purpose of each teaching position at Eden Classical Academy is to partner with parents to train and disciple students to love the Truth as God has revealed it in His Word and His world.

Responsibilities

• Work with your Lead to create a Scope & Sequence plan that demonstrates the aims and objectives of your course(s)
• Prepare weekly lesson plans for respective course(s) to include lectures, discussions, and projects/artwork as appropriate for course subject material
• Provide prompt student assessment for submitted assignments in designated learning management system and as appropriate by electronic communication
• Counsel struggling students to achieve maximum learning potential
• Meet with parents of struggling students to develop an action plan for improvement. Include appropriate Lead as needed
• Attend all teacher workshops and trainings before the school year begins and after the school year ends
• Attend monthly Professional Development meetings
• Cultivate ongoing learning of your subjects and of the methods and principles of classical education
• Remain involved in Eden school activities including but not limited to: Serve Day, Fundraising events and the Exordium
• Be available to be a primary substitute to at least one other teacher
